THE 10 MOST VALUABLE PLAYERS IN THE FOOTBALL WORLD

The Brazilian consultant firm Pluri has announced a list of the sixty most valuable players in the world.  There are no surprises in the top ten names of the list.

THE TOP TEN ARE PRESENTED HERE: 

The most valuable player of the year 2012 is the Argentinean Lionel Messi valued at  140 million euros. 

The second most valuable player of the world is the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo  valued at 96.3 million euros.

The two players are followed by the Spaniard Andres Iniesta who is in third place and it is  valued at 68.4 million euros. The top three are the same as in  2011. 

The fourth player is Wayne Rooney  valued at 60.2 million of euros.

The fifth players ,who has seen his value increase significantly  from 40th place in 2011 to 5th place in 2012,  is Radamel Falcao  valued at 56.1 million of euros. 

Neymar from Brazil in the sixth place and he has been valued at 55 million of euros. 

Kun Aguero from Argentina is in the seventh place. He has been valued at  53.7 million euros. 

The eighth place belongs to the Spaniard Cesc Fabregas valued at 51 million euros.

Ninth place is for the Spaniard David Silva who is valued at 51 million of euros. 

The top tens ends with the German  Turkish  boy Mesut Ozil who is valued at  44 million euros.

GOLDEN BALL FINALISTS 2012 ANNOUNCED BY FIFA

FIFA has finally announced the three finalist for the Golden Ball award this year.The three players were picked from a list of 23 candidates for this year.

As a very important aspect to mention, the three finalists play in the same league the Spanish "La Liga" . Messi and Iniesta play in FC Barcelona  and Cristiano Ronaldo in Real Madrid FC. For three years in a row , three players from the same league are finalists for this award.  The Spanish football is very strong since seven players from the Spanish National team made the 23 - name list for the award. Spain is strong not only in the clubs but also in the national team as FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke said.

If Messi wins the award, this will be his fourth Golden Ball in his career. Iniesta has the chance of winning the award for the first time and Cristiano Ronaldo the second time. 

The finalists for the women's World Player are five -time winner Marta and United States duo Alex Morgan and Abby Wambach. 

Spain Coach Vicente del Bosque , former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola and Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho are running for  the world coach of the year award.

The women's coach of the year award will go to either France's Bruno Bini, Japan's Norio Sasaki or  The United States  Pia Sundhage.

The Puskas award for the Best Goal of the year will be presented to Radamel Falcao, Neymar, or Miroslav Stoch. 

The winner will be announced in Switzerland on Jan 7.

 (7 January 2013) when the 2012 FIFA Puskás 

award will be handed out.
